Many of our students, as appropriate to their program/grade level, will be assigned a personal locker for the year. Lockers are the property of Durham District School Board, not the property of the student.
Administration has the authority, with reasonable suspicion, to search personal property and lockers. The right to search is established to assist Principals in providing for the safety and welfare of all students and staff by authority of the Education Act.
A “Locker Use Agreement” will be made available for students and parents to sign prior to the assignment of a locker for the student’s use.
